Well I never wanted to send my daughter to school in the first place but I did and have spent the last 4 years regretting it.
This year she has turned 8 and has spent half her life being forced to learn things that she was either not ready to digest or wasnt interested in.
So after a year and ahalf of research and knowing it was the right thing....I knocked on the headteachers door today and announced that my daughter would not be returning to school after the summer holidays. He already knew my feelings on state school and the national curriculum so it was no surprise......
My daughters class teacher who has been a blessing and really the only reason she has stayed in school this year, has reinforced all my reasons for removing my dd and considers her to be a very lucky young lady....
Us as a family well my husband is a police officer so hopefully we wont get too much grief from the authorities, and 95% of the family are supportive, My husband and i are very excited and my 13 month old is looking forward to having big sis at home all day everyday, well in theory at least.
